Position Overview
The Sr. Scrum Master will oversee the scrum development team, manage timelines, resolve issues, and coach team members on Agile methodologies. Acts as a buffer between the scrum team and product owner, maintaining a safe work environment and helping with conflict resolution. Responsible for managing project scope and timelines, coordinating sprints, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. Will work with product owners on backlog management and new requests, resolve conflicts, and remove obstacles. Ensures deliverables meet quality standards at each sprint's end and guides the team toward higher scrum maturity. Aims to foster a productive environment where team members take ownership of the product and enjoy working on it.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the Platform One Party Bus project, ensuring alignment with objectives.
• Manage project tasks, track progress, and maintain documentation using Jira and Confluence.
• Lead Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, PI Planning).
• Collaborate with technical teams for seamless integration and deployment.
• Develop and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to measure success and report to leadership.
• Prepare and deliver leadership briefs on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Technical background with previous experience as a DevSecOps engineer or backend developer.
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps principles; Kubernetes experience is a bonus, understanding required.
• 5+ years of project or program management experience, preferably in complex, technical DoD or federal environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in hybrid or remote environments.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration.
• Ability to align project objectives with organizational goals and proactively address challenges.
• Expertise in agile methodologies, especially Scrum, including sprint planning and backlog management.
• Strong strategic thinking and execution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with technical, security, and DoD stakeholders.
• Experience managing OKRs, KPIs, and executive communications.
• Security clearance: Secret or eligibility to obtain one.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms.
