PayRange: $19.44-27.07/hour (DOQ/DOE)

About the Company

The Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations isa residential treatment facility for adolescents (13- 17 y/o) and outpatient clinicalcare. The Healing Lodge treatment program integrates traditional, spiritual andcultural values with chemical dependency and mental health counseling to createa holistic approach toward healing. Residents include both Native andnon-Native youth from all areas of the country.

About the Position

Under the supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor you would performthe following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare meals and snacks according to planned menu
2. Clean, sanitize and organize work areas, equipment, utensils and service station
3. Serve residents, staff and guests in a professional, efficient and friendly manner
4. Prep dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking
5. Clean machines/appliances used in the kitchen
6. Maintain inventory and stock levels of food items and paper supplies and unload/store deliveries
7. Added tasks as assigned

• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, or carrying of equipment and materials
• Walking and standing on quarry tile floors
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and fumes
• Must have full function of hands and finger and able to handle knives and serving items
• Must have ability to verbally communicate and have proficient hearing
• Job requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Work maybe performed:in fluctuating temperatures, including heat from cooking andcleaning equipment and cold from walk-in storage and freezers

• Work is performed in kitchen environment using equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, mixers, knives, etc.
• noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience operating kitchen equipment and cooking utensils in a food service facility
• Must have knowledge of regulations and procedures used in food preparation, serving and storage
• Experience and/or training working with at-risk adolescents preferred

• Food Handler's Card
