Remote School Psychologist, Montana

Start Date: August 2025

Summary

Provides a full range of virtual psychological services supporting K12 students academic, social, and emotional growth. This includes counseling, consultation with families and school staff, psychoeducational assessment, program planning, and direct or supervised intervention. Works collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success in a remote learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with school personnel to identify students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges
  • Conduct comprehensive virtual psychoeducational evaluations, including review of records, formal and informal assessments, and interviews with students, teachers, and families
  • Prepare detailed evaluation reports adhering to federal, state, and local deadlines
  • Communicate evaluation results and recommendations effectively to school teams, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Assist with development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans tailored to student needs
  • Provide counseling and mental health support through teletherapy to students facing academic or personal challenges
  • Participate actively in virtual IEP meetings, offering expert insights and data-driven recommendations
  • Offer crisis intervention support as needed within the virtual platform
  • Monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions using data collection and analysis
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing school psychological services
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices and legal requirements

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Current, valid state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and providing counseling services
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a student-centered approach

Comfortable using virtual platforms and technology tools

Technology Requirements

  • Reliable, high-speed internet connection
  • Desktop or laptop computer (tablets and Chromebooks are not supported)
  • Successful completion of a technology screening to ensure platform compatibility
