Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to policies and processes while exercising safe practices.
  • Engage in strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Operate both light and heavy equipment and utilize various hand and powered industrial tools.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively, including respirators and other protective gear.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Manage exposure to chemical and physical agents safely and responsibly.
  • Handle tasks in high-noise areas, confined spaces, and at elevated heights using ladders and scaffolding.
  • Assist with field sampling activities and the calibration of meters.
  • Perform inspections for drum integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Engage in the safe loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling as needed.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations concerning work operations.
  • Maintain safe operational practices in line with environmental health and safety guidelines.
  • Be available for on-call emergency response every other week, potentially working overtime hours, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks as outlined in the responsibilities.
  • Success in background checks, drug testing, and physical assessments is required for this role.
  • Adherence to OSHA's Respiratory Protection standards is necessary, which may require meeting facial hair guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Previous relevant labor experience is an advantage.
