Heavy Equipment Mechanic

OVERVIEW:

• CR Concrete is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet and equipment. This role involves inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, welding, and repair work on a variety of heavy, medium, and light-duty equipment and vehicles

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct DOT safety inspections
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, vehicles, and small engines
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and accurate service logs
• Assist with training junior mechanics
• Road test vehicles to ensure proper function
• Follow all safety protocols

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance (construction industry preferred)
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems knowledge
• Full set of personal tools (specialty tools provided)
• CDL license preferred or ability to obtain one
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to nearby job sites
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
