Join to apply for the Project Manager - Indo Pacific Region role at SLSCO LTD.

Location: Project will be located in the Indo-Pacific Region, including but not limited to Hawaii, Philippines, Australia, and Guam. International travel and/or temporary relocation will be required for the duration of the project.

SLS is seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) interested in international travel to join a fast-growing Federal Division pursuing civil infrastructure opportunities across the Indo-Pacific Region with federal clients such as NAVFAC, USACE, and AFCEC.

The PM will be responsible for one or multiple projects, manage all interactions with internal and external stakeholders including the client, and manage day-to-day project execution through all phases from startup, design/engineering, construction management, change management, closeout, commissioning, and warranty work. The PM will report to a Project Executive for the profit and loss of each project and/or portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Manager reporting to an experienced Project Executive.
  • Manage the project's profit & loss to preserve profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a healthy client relationship while protecting company interests.
  • Provide oversight of the design program to be managed by the Designer of Record.
  • Provide oversight of construction operations to be managed by the Superintendent.
  • Provide oversight of the safety program to be managed by the Safety Manager.
  • Provide oversight of the quality program to be managed by the QC Manager.
  • Provide oversight and management of the project schedule through the Scheduler.
  • Provide oversight and management of AR and AP through the Project Comptroller.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts and purchase orders with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Chair weekly and/or monthly project meetings with all interested stakeholders.
  • Communicate frequently and effectively to ensure the project team is well informed.
  • Ensure all contract requirements and administrative items are satisfied in a timely manner.
  • Identify and advocate for resources necessary for project success.
  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the Project Executive or Division President.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management; required.
  • 10+ years experience as PM for heavy civil infrastructure projects valued $25M+; required.
  • Advanced Degree (MBA, MS) or Professional Registration (PMP, PE); preferred.
  • Experience working on federal projects with DOD/USACE/NAVFAC; strongly desired.
  • Experience managing large project teams of diverse professionals; preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read and write fluent English; required.
  • Ability to successfully pass background/security check; required.
  • Secret or above Security Clearance; strongly desired.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); required.
  • Proficient with Primavera P6; preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
  • Use of repetitive motion, prolonged sitting/standing, and sustained visual/mental demands.
  • Occasional lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, pulling, and carrying.
