Project Manager (seasoned APMs accepted as well) – Commercial Construction

Locations: Washington, DC

Our client, a well-regarded General Contractor in the DC area is seeking a PM to join their team. If you're a proven construction professional eager to work on impactful commercial projects and collaborate with/learn from seasoned industry experts, this role could be a fantastic fit. In this role, you'll oversee the life cycle of commercial construction projects, managing all project phases from planning to closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating schedules, managing budgets, and coordinating project phases to keep everything on track.
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain project quality and timeliness.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.
  • Prepare and manage project documents such as submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Track project costs, help implement cost-control strategies, and support documentation for accurate project accounting.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management for a General Contractor.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction management tools.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field ; equivalent experience also considered.
