Senior Technical Consultant - Elasticsearch
Elastic is seeking a Consulting Architect, ElasticSearch, to deliver Elastic solutions and apply expertise in the Elastic Stack to drive value for clients. You will participate in workshops to map strategies, design roadmaps, and plan capacities in environments crucial to customer success.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Elastic solutions and apply Elastic Stack expertise to drive tangible value for clients; conduct workshops to map strategies, design roadmaps, and plan capacities in critical environments.
- Build lasting relationships with customers, advocate for their needs, and ensure their voices are heard within a remote, distributed team.
- Create compelling proof-of-concepts that demonstrate the value of the Elastic Stack and accelerate adoption; optimize queries, fine-tune clusters, and deliver fast search and analytics at scale.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and support to shape products and services; assess technical aspects, identify risks, and tailor engagements with the sales team.
What You Will Bring
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and/or Lucene.
- Validated experience as a Search Engineer or Search Architect, with strong knowledge of Elasticsearch, Vector Search, and GenAI technologies.
- Deep understanding of e-commerce search solutions, query development, relevancy tuning, and NLP use cases.
- Background in open-source machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and a degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Passion for open-source technology and proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Strong knowledge of large distributed systems and application infrastructure.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for business needs.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Big 4 consulting.
- Elastic Certified Engineer certification.
- Proficiency in Ansible, JavaScript, Terraform, ECK, or Kubernetes.
- Machine learning and AI expertise; deep understanding of Java and Linux/Unix environments.
- Contributing to open-source projects or documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation for this role is base salary. The role does not include a variable compensation component. The typical starting salary ranges vary by location and may be adjusted in the future. Eligible employees may participate in Elastic's stock program and a company-m matched 401k, among other benefits focused on well-being.
Typical starting salary ranges
General: $159,800—$252,800 USD; Select locations (Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco Bay Area, CA; New York City Metro): $191,900—$303,500 USD.
