Job Description

The Manager, Validation ensures that all equipment, facilities, and utilities are appropriately qualified for use. The Manager serves as the technical oversight for the facility validation program. The individual ensures equipment is appropriately qualified for use and prioritizes assignments and allocates and assigns labor to support them. This individual provides directions and instruction to both professional and non-degreed department staff members and is also responsible for evaluating their work. Additionally, the individual in this position may also serve on contract manufacturing project teams. In that capacity, this individual will also write technical reports, schedule, coordinate, and perform validation studies, evaluate study results, and potentially propose alternative validation strategies. This individual may also be asked to participate in audits, where extensive contact with clients and members of regulatory agencies is required.

Responsibilities

  1. Provides technical oversight for equipment, facilities, and utilities qualifications and requalifications.
  2. Prioritizes department activities and assignments.
  3. Allocate and assign department labor to support activities and assignments.
  4. Provide direction and instruction to department staff.
  5. Evaluate the work of department staff. Conduct performance appraisals and perform disciplinary action as required.
  6. Write and review departmental procedures.
  7. Write and review validation documents: qualification protocols, engineering studies, and acceptance reports.
  8. Participate on contract manufacturing project teams as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 10 years' experience in lieu of degree required
  • Bachelor of Science desired
  • 5 to 10 years related experience required
  • Supervisory Experience required
  • Pharmaceutical/FDA regulated industry experience required
  • Managerial Experience desired
  • Mechanical Aptitude required
  • Microsoft Suite required
  • Blue Mountain RAM required
  • Prolonged sitting required

Shift

Weekday days, Monday-Friday

Compensation & Benefits

This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.

  • Hiring Wage: $102,075 - $149,700 annually depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises. Midpoint and above is reserved for employees who have longevity with Jubilant HollisterStier and consistently exhibit outstanding performance over a period of time in the role
