Overview

The Manager, Validation ensures that all equipment, facilities, and utilities are appropriately qualified for use. The manager serves as the technical oversight for the facility validation program and provides directions and instruction to department staff. The individual may also serve on contract manufacturing project teams, write technical reports, schedule and coordinate validation studies, evaluate study results, and participate in audits with clients and regulatory agencies as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical oversight for equipment, facilities, and utilities qualifications and requalifications.
  • Prioritizes department activities and assignments.
  • Allocates and assigns department labor to support activities and assignments.
  • Provide direction and instruction to department staff.
  • Evaluate the work of department staff; conduct performance appraisals and perform disciplinary action as required.
  • Write and review departmental procedures.
  • Write and review validation documents: qualification protocols, engineering studies, and acceptance reports.
  • Participate on contract manufacturing project teams as required.
  • Assist in audits and interact with clients and regulatory agencies as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; 10 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Bachelor of Science desired
  • 5 to 10 years related experience required
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Pharmaceutical/FDA regulated industry experience required
  • Mechanical aptitude required
  • Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Blue Mountain RAM required
  • Prolonged sitting required

Shift and Location

Shift: Weekday days, Monday–Friday. This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hiring wage: $102,075 – $149,700 annually, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
