This position offers you the opportunity to work with a dynamic team committed to delivering top-notch technical services. You will enjoy a rotation of 21 days on and 7 days off, with a live out allowance (LOA) provided to support your stay while on the job.
As an experienced Line Technician, you will take on the crucial responsibility of planning and executing aerial and underground fiber construction projects. Operating bucket trucks, you will be instrumental in placing and securing cable equipment. Your keen attention to detail will ensure that fiber cables are installed according to engineering specifications and industry standards. Your leadership skills will guide your team towards meeting construction goals while adhering to essential health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
Safely operate bucket trucks and various lift equipment.
Set up and operate cable placing equipment, including Larson reels, fiber blowers, cable tuggers, and lashing tools.
Install strand and associated hardware.
Place fiber optic, coax cables, and traceable wires securely.
Track and communicate daily production metrics and materials used.
Qualifications:
Active CDL A is preferred.
Minimum one year of relevant experience as a Line Technician or in a similar role.
Ability to climb utility poles using climbing spikes and perform work from a bucket truck.
Knowledgeable in new builds and pole transfers; skilled in building strand, lashing, pole transfers, and grounding.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license specific to the vehicle requirements, along with a clear driving record.
Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, as well as a background check.
Work Conditions:
Meet the physical demands of the job, which includes sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and working in various weather conditions.
Travel throughout the state as needed; per diem and travel accommodations will be covered.
Compensation:
$26.00 - $35.00 hourly. This range reflects the expected base pay for this role, which is determined based on factors like experience and location.
