Treasury Analyst

Reporting To: Director of Fund Finance & Treasury
Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 / year
Description
The Treasury Analysts primary responsibilities involve performing cash forecasting, supporting cash management, and implementing payments within the bank system, and reconciling bank account activity.
Key Responsibilities
Execute daily cash positioning activities including managing daily liquidity, cash position reconciliation and bank reporting
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, & quarterly treasury cash flow forecasting and analysis, and preparation of the daily cash and liquidity report
Analyze account balances for compliance with various liquidity covenants
Review and analyze banking and investment management fees to identify cost reductions
Coordinate with investment team to maximize yield on cash balances held in managed accounts
Collaborate with investment team to automate cross-functional reporting
Monitor cash transactions to ensure bank account balances and unusual items are investigated
Confer with bank personnel to effect fund transfers to and from line-of-credit, money market and other company bank accounts as directed
Monitor and analyze the companys daily cash position to cover cash commitments and coordinate and optimize the short-term borrowing or investments
Assist with the development of operating cash flow forecasts, enhance visibility into cash balances, and optimize working capital
Manage the banking and cash accounts firmwide including opening accounts, maintaining accounts, and user administration
Additional responsibilities within the finance team as needed
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, or another relevant field (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
3-5 years of related accounting or cash management experience
Experience in liquidity and cash/treasury management
CPA preferred, but not required
Excellent analytical skills and cash management/treasury knowledge
Knowledge of banking and payment procedures (checks clearing, ACHs, wires, etc.)
Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and engage with diverse teams
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency in financial modeling techniques
Attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
Must work well independently and as a member of the team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints to meet critical deadlines
Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
