Position Description
Integrus Architecture is seeking a skilled and thoughtful Interior Designer to join our team, with a strong emphasis on the public sector. We are looking for someone who balances creative design with technical expertise and thrives in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the public sector's mission-driven environments and be highly proficient in industry-standard design software including Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign), MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Key Responsibilities:
Design for Impactful Public Spaces
Develop interior environments that support learning, accessibility, community engagement, and civic pride. Your work will help shape spaces that serve the public and foster meaningful user experiences.
Collaborate Across Disciplines
Work side-by-side with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure the interior design integrates seamlessly with the building systems, structure, and overall design concept. Participate in and lead team coordination meetings that will ensure that building infrastructure is successfully integrated into a project.
Technical Drawing & Documentation
Prepare and coordinate comprehensive interior documentation sets including plans, elevations, finish schedules, and custom millwork and interior finish details Revit and assist in quality control reviews throughout the project development.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
Participate in client meetings, presentations, and milestone review workshops.
Material & FF&E Selection
Research and specify materials, finishes, and furnishings that are durable, maintainable, cost-effective, and code compliant for high-use public environments. Prepare detailed presentation and specification packages using InDesign and other visualization tools.
Project Coordination & Construction Administration
Track schedules, coordinate with vendors and consultants, attend site visits, respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction documentation and punch list processes.
