Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry We are adding a Field Sales Manager to our growing special projects group in Spokane, WA. This position will be responsible for developing, coaching and managing the Service annuity sales team within an assigned geography, with guidance and assistance from Leadership. Concurrently responsible for personally selling annuity contracts to new and existing clients. Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Sales / Account Development (50% of time): Oversee new account development in a defined territory, with ongoing account management responsibility as defined in annual goals. Own the development and execution of market-specific strategic plans to meet or exceed goals in assigned territory. Win complex, competitive sales; qualifying and progressing sales through a pipeline using established sales processes. Track leads, accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, etc. in CRM system to drive sales productivity, and to foster collaboration across the enterprise. Accurately complete Site/Equipment Surveys, Pricing (to ensure gross margin targets are met or exceeded), Proposals, Contracts and other required paperwork. Maintain a knowledge base for selling Maintenance Agreements.
  • People Management (50% of time): Recruit and hire staff. Set performance goals and conduct performance evaluations for assigned team. Provide supervision, mentorship, and motivation to assigned staff as required.

Communication: Communicate effectively with Property Owners and Managers, Business Leaders and Managers, Facilities/Maintenance Personnel, Subcontractors, etc. Assess and communicate the necessary information to the Field (scope, labor, materials, client info, site safety, etc.) to help ensure profitability of work and customer satisfaction. Consult with Leadership or Service Operations to resolve issues as needed (opportunities, risks, problems).

Leadership: Ensure cohesion and personal growth, using leadership and Business Development Director proactively across all areas and topics managed. Manage and monitor key business metrics. Maintain sales forecast models. Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry: Demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Senior Account Executive required. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Construction. Management or equivalent field required or combination of education and experience equivalent required. Four (4) years of experience delivering sales and business development services preferred. Experience in delivering services in a mechanical/HVAC environment is preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Ability and willingness to travel regionally. Provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office; reimbursed.
