Description:

American Associated Pharmacies (AAP) is one of the largest independent pharmacy cooperatives in the United States, supporting thousands of independent pharmacy owners nationwide. AAP is seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Business Advisor to represent Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho, residing in or near Spokane, Washington.

The Pharmacy Business Advisor will grow the assigned territory through inside and outside sales in the retail independent pharmacy market, building strong relationships with business partners and presenting sales strategies and business reviews in person to owners and stakeholders. Travel is a key component, with about 80% within the territory and 50% overnight.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase AAP membership and API warehouse sales
  • Retain members by maintaining a consistent sales call schedule and providing insight on industry trends.
  • Increase managed care (PSAO) enrollment.
  • Promote strategic AAP programs.
  • Stay current on industry trends, legislation, and managed care updates.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data for members and prospects.
  • Manage assigned territory in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
  • Represent AAP professionally.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Two or more years of high-performing outside sales experience
  • Independent pharmacy or pharmacy managed care experience preferred
  • Strong presentation skills, both in person and remotely
  • Active listening skills and ability to understand customer needs
  • Financial and analytical skills to present business cases
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Effective pipeline and time management skills

AAP is an Equal Opportunity Employer. New hires start between $67,000 and $72,000 base rate per year, plus commissions. The hired applicant will be offered pay based on qualifications and professional experience. This position is eligible for performance-based uncapped sales commission and a company-provided vehicle.
