  • Shift / Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (two 30-minute split lunch breaks)
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, delivering compassionate and professional specimen collection services to patients. This position involves drawing quality blood samples, ensuring specimen integrity, maintaining confidentiality, and creating a supportive environment through excellent communication and patient care. PSR IIs may be assigned to doctor's offices, patient service centers, or other designated sites based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, professional, and compliant work environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information, labeling, and signatures post-collection.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, and the public through professional conduct.
Required Experience:
  • 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or healthcare setting highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with keyboard/data entry systems.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
  • Leadership and process-excellence behaviors.
  • Experience training or onboarding new phlebotomists.
Required Skills:
  • Exceptional phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organization, documentation, and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Skills:
  • Superior customer focus and communication.
  • Flexibility to cover multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Additional Skills:
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume environment.

Licenses / Credentials:
  • Washington State Health Department Phlebotomy License (MAP) required.
