Summary/objective
As a Design Engineer you will work with the entire JETSEAL team to develop, design, draft, test and deliver the highest-level quality metal seals and tooling, with a focus of introducing our products into new industries. This role will require interfacing with customers to specify seals that meet their needs and then bring those designs to reality. This includes designing tooling, lining up vendors, and working with manufacturing to build high quality products our customers' demand. This role will also include testing of products as required. This position is perfect for someone eager to learn different aspects of Engineering. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong drive for continuous improvement. Ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and high aptitude for learning.

- Collaborate with the sales department and customers to design seals and specify any tooling or testing that will be required.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to identify new vendors for specific products and services
- Design tooling and machines necessary to manufacture seals
- Work with the manufacturing department to overcome issues identified in the manufacture of the product.
- Collaborate with Engineers to continually improve the manufacturing process by analyzing problems reported and developing improvements to overcome them

Preferred education and experience - 5+ years of related Engineering experience, aerospace experience preferred but not required
- FEA experience preferable
- Very detail oriented
- Strong computer skills, including MS-Office
- Prior drafting and modeling experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Previous experience with Aerospace metals or sheet metal a plus
- Previous experience with Aerospace quality systems and controls
- Previous experience with process investigation, characterizations, and optimization
- Previous exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles desired
- Manufacturing experience a plus
- Strong trouble shooting skills
- Desire to work in a team environment
Required education and experience - BS (Bachelors) in Mechanical Engineering
Work authorization/security clearance requirements - Must be authorized to work in the US1
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must meet pre-employment background screening requirements including those required under US Export Control Regulations (ITAR).
