Role Responsibilities:

SNAP is seeking an experienced Director of Financial Stability to lead and grow our Financial Stability Core. This full-time, regular position is ideal for a mission-driven leader passionate about supporting low- and moderate-income individuals through innovative programs, including CDFI operations, housing counseling, lending, and financial services.

Position Overview: The Director will manage programs such as SBA microlending, foreclosure prevention, business development, and financial services, while advocating for economic empowerment and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. As a key member of SNAP's executive leadership team, this role also focuses on securing funding, program development, and fostering strong community partnerships.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial stability programs (CDFI operations, loan processing, SBA microlending, etc.)
  • Secure funding, writing grants averaging $3M annually
  • Supervise and develop high-performing teams
  • Collaborate with partners, funders, and stakeholders to expand community impact
  • Ensure program compliance, budget management, and operational efficiency

Candidate Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in business or related field + 5 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in supervisory roles (or 9 years of combined experience)
  • Preferred: Master's degree + 6-8 years of supervisory experience
  • Key Skills: Expertise in commercial/residential lending, program development, grant writing, budget management, and community engagement
  • Strongly Encouraged: CDFI or mission-based lending experience; BIPOC candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
