As an HR Assistant in the Employment Services unit of Human Resource Services, you will perform a variety of duties in support of human resource operations and employment compliance for the WSU Spokane Health Sciences Campus and other assigned areas within the WSU system. While applying established human resources, policies, and procedures for multiple employee types, you will serve as the main point of contact for a variety of recruitment-related activities, including but not limited to background check processing, reviewing and preparing job postings, and fielding questions from hiring personnel and applicants.

While WSU Spokane is primarily supported by an on-site Senior HR Consultant and HR Assistant, you will be part of the university-wide Human Resource Services team with colleagues and support available at all WSU campuses.
This is a full-time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
This position is located on the WSU Spokane campus in Spokane, Washington. After completing an initial training period, the selected applicant may be eligible for hybrid remote work one day per week based on operational needs.
Monthly Salary:
Human Resource Consultant Assistant 1: $3,495 to $4,653 | Range 39
Human Resource Consultant Assistant 2: $3,925 to $5,271 | Range 44
Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
