Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PHP Developer with expertise in WordPress to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP programming and a deep understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including theme and plugin development. You will be responsible for building and maintaining custom WordPress websites that are responsive, scalable, and optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Build responsive and user-friendly websites based on design mockups or requirements.
• Integrate third-party APIs and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Optimize website performance and security.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest web technologies, coding standards, and WordPress best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues across WordPress sites.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PHP Developer with a focus on WordPress.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, plugin development, and theme customization.
• Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (jQuery or vanilla JS), and REST APIs.
• Experience with version control systems (Git preferred).
• Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
• Understanding of SEO, website performance optimization, and security best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WooCommerce and custom e-commerce functionality.
• Familiarity with headless WordPress or JAMstack concepts.
• Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue) is a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
