About the role

We have partnered with a tech forward organization that has recently secured investment from a local private equity fund and is looking for a Controller to oversee the day‑to‑day of operational accounting and provide a long‑term outlook in terms of strategic planning, M&A due diligence, and process improvements. The company owns a solid, profitable 20‑year history featuring an award‑winning product development team and repeat clients across multiple industries.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has 7‑10+ years of progressive experience within accounting and finance and is looking to take the next step in their career to lead the Accounting and Finance function.

Compensation

Base pay range

$150,000 – $170,000 per year

What you bring to the table

  • 7 to 10+ years of experience within accounting and finance (must have industry experience, not just public accounting)
  • 2 to 3+ years of management experience at the Manager or Controller level
  • Strong month‑end‑close experience and a track record of reducing the amount of time spent to close the books
  • Experience with annual audit prep/compliance – internal or external
  • Must live in PST or MST currently – no relocation or CST/EST candidates considered at this time.

Nice to have

  • Experience within startup or PE/VC‑backed organizations
  • Exposure to M&A due diligence and strategic FP&A work
  • Experience with ARR contracts in XaaS businesses
