Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience crafting, maintaining, and executing test plans.
- Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools.
- Resourceful self-starter with a keen eye for details, focused on end-user experiences.
- Able to make consistently good judgment calls on which issues can be self-resolved and which require escalation.
- Adept at writing actionable bug reports using software like Bugzilla and Jira.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and provide detailed debug information for defects to ensure speedy resolution.
- Experience working with complex software stacks with many software and hardware components.
- Proficiency with scripting languages like python or bash.
- Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines.
- Easily adaptable in a dynamic, constantly evolving, and demanding environment.
Description
This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills. Your responsibilities will include functional testing of new features on visionOS, developer tools, 3D content authoring tools like Reality Composer, design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, prioritizing and escalating critical bugs, and integration testing across Apple platforms.
Education & Experience
BS or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Additional Requirements
- Experience with testing consumer electronics, mobile applications, and experiences.
- Proficiency with Apple computing technologies like iOS, visionOS beta, Xcode & Swift fundamentals preferred but not required.
- Very comfortable sharing considered opinions, taking the time to get details right, and staying true to the bigger picture.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
