Position Summary

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) Tech Team is hiring an IT Help Desk Associate to provide support to our DNC staff and DNC and State Party staff! We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and can provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be a critical member of the team supporting the IT Director in providing optimal support to the DNC and State Party Staff. Frequent travel will be required for this role to support various locations in a given region based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first line of defense for in-person and remote technical support
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure our VIP users are handled with sustainable urgency
  • Utilizing the Zendesk ticketing system to track and follow up with user requests
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 and Tier 3 resources after exhausting all efforts at the Tier 1 level
  • Update documentation to ensure our policies, workflows, and technical information are kept up to date
  • Responsible for inventory management, logistics and procurement tracking
  • Assist and support for events, such as DNC and All-Staff meetings, press conferences, and more
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in IT roles or relevant coursework
  • Dedication to customer service with strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of networking such as TCP/IP, routing and switching
  • Experience with both computer and mobile device enterprise management systems such as Google Workspace and JAMF
  • Knowledge of Zendesk or other similar ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of macOS, iOS, and chromeOS

Travel

The IT Help Desk Associate I position will require travel, which could be up to 40% of the time.

Salary

The starting salary for the IT Help Desk Associate I position is $72,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
