A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Data Scientist Engineer

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Location: Baltimore MD/Washington District Of Columbia Hybrid

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a visionary Data Scientist who thrives at the intersection of deep learning, computer vision, and generative AI.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and train cutting-edge models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and transformer-based frameworks.
• Tackle complex vision tasks—object detection, segmentation, tracking—using UNet, YOLO, RCNN, SAM, DeepSORT, and more.
• Dive into multimodal generative models like Stable Diffusion, ControlNet, and CLIP to build intelligent systems that understand both images and language.
• Fine-tune pre-trained models for real-world applications across text, image, and audio.
• Optimize inference on high-performance NVIDIA GPUs (A100, H100).
• Build context-aware LLMOps pipelines for smart chat applications using Python.

API Engineering & Integration:

• Design robust RESTful and gRPC APIs for seamless model serving and data access.
• Own the API lifecycle—versioning, documentation, and security.
• Integrate with internal and external systems using FastAPI and other Python frameworks.

Cloud-Native AI on Azure:

• Leverage Azure Machine Learning to orchestrate model training and deployment.
• Build and manage Azure Container Apps, Docker images, and registries.
• Host AI services and dashboards via Azure Web Apps.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for smooth, scalable updates.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of Python development with a strong focus on deep learning.
• Hands-on experience with Hugging Face, transformers, and custom model training.
• Proven success deploying models on GPU infrastructure.
• Solid grasp of API design and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Azure, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
• A problem-solving mindset and collaborative spirit.

Nice-to-Haves:

• PhD in a relevant field.
• Experience with computer vision and multimodal generative AI.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and workflows.
• Contributions to open-source AI projects or published research.

Pay Range: $70.00 - $75.86 per hour
