Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager- Accounting to help deliver the best consumer-facing commerce services in the world. Part of the rapidly growing Commerce Product team, you will define and support key aspects of our commerce experiences as part of the core platform group. You will act as a liaison between business, data and analytics, legal and compliance, finance and accounting, technology, and product to maximize commerce objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish product strategy for the next generation commerce platform that powers Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu consumer experiences, with a focus on finance and accounting data.
  • Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for systems and services that support accounting and revenue operations across multiple products.
  • Deliver features that allow us to continue to scale our services globally.
  • Foster data-driven prioritization of features and set measurable objectives.
  • Provide domain expertise and leadership for features and systems, partnering with finance, accounting, tax, legal, product, data, and engineering teams to ensure accurate, compliant, timely, and scalable financial reporting processes.
  • Monitor data system performance and integrity, proactively identifying and resolving issues that impact reporting accuracy or downstream financial dependencies.
  • Maintain all necessary JIRA tasks, boards, and documentation, and communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Translate inputs and business needs into detailed product requirements and user stories for engineering teams.
  • Develop a product roadmap that accomplishes business/customer goals and aligns with the team charter.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Direct experience working with an internationally distributed digital product.
  • Familiarity with the streaming video industry and understanding of the different value propositions offered by market leaders.
  • Experience using JIRA and other product and project management tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to coordinate multiple projects at a time.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to make quick decisions to solve complex technical and operational challenges.
  • Able to work on projects with distributed teams, using technology and process to overcome remote work challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a related field/MBA, and/or related certification(s).
  • Direct experience supporting subscription products.
  • Familiarity with recurring revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) and SOX compliance.

Compensation

The hiring range for this position varies by location: Santa Monica, CA $155,700 to $208,700 per year; Seattle, WA and New York, NY $163,100 to $218,700 per year; San Francisco, CA $170,500 to $228,600 per year. Base pay will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided.
