Job Title: Labor & Employment Attorney

Location: Fully remote within the U.S. (must reside and work from a state where the firm maintains an office: TX, OR, WA, MA, SC, NC, IL, PA, MO, CA, FL, TN, NY, NJ, Washington DC, or DE)

Schedule: 20 to 25 hours per week

Employment Type: Contract, 6-month assignment

Job Description:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a national law firm to find an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to support its in‑house legal team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an attorney with strong advisory experience who can operate independently and deliver polished, thoughtful work product with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day advice and counseling to clients on a wide range of labor and employment matters
  • Conduct legal research based on client inquiries and prepare clear, well‑reasoned written responses.
  • Draft, review, and update agreements, employment policies, and related documents
  • Communicate directly with clients as needed, delivering guidance in a professional and practical manner
  • Manage workload with little oversight and ensure timely completion of assignments

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 7+ years of labor and employment experience focused on advice and counseling
  • Washington experience required. California experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to work independently without extensive direction or hand‑holding
  • Strong writing and analytical skills required
  • Must not engage in concurrent employment
  • Estimated 20 to 25 hours per week
  • This is an anticipated 6‑month assignment that may be extended or converted depending on business needs
