Student Employee - Digital Media Creator

The Instructional Design Department at Ensign College is seeking a Digital Media Creator to bring fresh creativity and innovative thinking to our team. This role focuses on creating and updating visual assetsparticularly course banners, graphics, and videosto make our courses visually engaging and vibrant for learners. We welcome your unique ideas and out-of-the-box thinking.

This is a short-term (1-2 semesters), project-specific position that may qualify for an academic internship.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and update course banners and other visual assets across multiple courses.
  • Create or edit instructional videos, including graphics, captions, and branded elements.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers and faculty to develop and refine visual content.
  • Manage and organize media files for efficient access and version control.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva).
  • Experience with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Camtasia).
  • Successful completion of DCC 210 (Graphic Design) with at least a B- grade.
  • Successful completion of DCC 280 (Video Production) with at least a B- grade.
  • Strong visual design sense and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to assist in the creation of graphics and videos.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with accessibility best practices in media (preferred).

Work Expectations:

  • Up to 19 hours per week.
  • Multiple semesters of availability preferred.
  • Remote work setup required, including:
    • A quiet workspace
    • Reliable internet connection
    • Flexibility to attend virtual team meetings throughout the week

Student Employees must be currently enrolled at Ensign College, taking at least 6 credits (3 per block), in good academic standing and must live within Utah.
