Pay: $28.00 - $38.22 per hour, based on experience. This includes a shift differential & premium.

Job Summary
This position focuses on precise stainless-steel fabrication, straightening, and welding using gas and electric welding equipment. Expertise in fabricating carbon-steel and exotic metals may also be required, while adhering to a Nuclear Quality Assurance program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- TIG, Laser, and MIG welding of stainless steel
- Intricate grinding and polishing to achieve a 32RA surface finish
- Fabrication involving cutting, burning, and welding various metals
- Conduct repairs through mechanical straightening and welding
- Identify and mitigate issues like shrinkage and distortion during welding
- Plan and execute projects based on technical documentation, drawings, and work orders
- Interpret and follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Utilize calibrated precision instruments to meet fabrication tolerances
- Maintain accurate records such as weld mapping on complex weldments
- Assist in training fabrication personnel on safe practices and advanced techniques
- Design and create fabrication fixtures
- Help prepare technical proposals and job estimates
- Adhere to design specifications and related welding procedure specifications
- Participate in design reviews to ensure quality standards
- Identify and initiate improvements in product/process
- Document work processes meticulously
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Be prepared to work over 40 hours as needed to meet business objectives
- Complete quality verifications and required build records
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Proven proficiency in TIG Welding (GTAW)
- At least five (5) years of welding experience or equivalent through certification tests
- Two (2) years of experience may be substituted with an Associate of Arts degree in Welding Technology
- One (1) year of experience may be substituted with an accredited trade or vocational welding certificate
- Must meet minimum testing requirements: 3G position or greater, complete joint penetration on stainless steel, utilizing TIG and MIG processes
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings effectively
Working Environment:
This position involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, vibration, and potential fumes or airborne particles. You may encounter toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, and risks associated with various manufacturing tasks. Safety protocols must be followed rigorously, and personal protective equipment is required.
