Ross Point Camp & Conference Center, Post Falls, Idaho (with some flexibility for remote work)

Hours & Compensation

Part‑time, approximately 10–15 hours per week. Pay scale is $23.71–$28.45 per hour, based on experience. The scope and hours of this position may change depending on the needs of the camp and may grow along with the camp's development, with additional hours required during program weeks as needed.

Ross Point Camp & Conference Center is a Christ‑centered ministry located along the Spokane River in Post Falls, Idaho. For decades, Ross Point has served churches, families, and individuals by providing a welcoming place for spiritual growth, fellowship, and renewal. With year‑round programming, summer camps, and retreat facilities, Ross Point is dedicated to building community, strengthening faith, and inspiring service.

Position Overview

The Program Director provides leadership and oversight for Ross Point's programs and events. This role is responsible for coordinating program schedules, recruiting and supporting staff and volunteers, and ensuring high‑quality program experiences. The Program Director works closely with the Executive Director and local pastors to shape program themes and content, while also managing communications, outreach, and media for promotion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and oversight for all Ross Point programs from planning through completion.
  • Schedule program dates and secure staff.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and local pastors to select themes and outline messages.
  • Create media resources for both program use and promotional purposes.
  • Ensure program information is kept current on the website and across social media platforms.
  • Recruit, screen, and place volunteers in program roles.
  • Ensure volunteers are qualified and a good fit for their positions.
  • Oversee all volunteer paperwork, including applications, background checks, liability agreements, and policy agreements.
  • Lead volunteer training on Ross Point policies and procedures, both online and in person.

Outreach & Engagement

  • Develop relationships with churches and community partners to promote programs and
  • Create and share advertising and promotional materials for programs and events.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience in program management and volunteer coordination preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Proficiency with social media, websites, and media design tools.
  • Alignment with Ross Point's mission, vision, and values.
  • Must be an active church member with at least one reference from a pastor or church leader.
  • Must be in agreement with Mission Northwest's Commonly Held Essentials and Resolution on Human Sexuality.
