Provides monitoring of surveillance system and all Kalispel Tribal Properties with a primary mission to protect the assets as well as the reputation of the Kalispel Tribe of Indians. Ensure the safety of the employees and visitors within the gaming facility through reporting of safety concerns, illegal activity, and procedural violation. Ensures the gaming operation is in compliance with Commission Regulations, Tribal-State Compact, the Kalispel Gaming Ordinance, National Indian Gaming Commission Minimum Internal Control Standards and any other applicable regulations or laws. Due to the dynamic nature of the gaming industry, the particular aspects of this position can change with little or no notice.
Tribal Gaming Agents are responsible for preserving the integrity of Kalispel Tribal properties by performing the following duties:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education:
Requires high school diploma or equivalent (GED) Requires Associate's degree in criminology or related field, Bachelor's degree preferred; or demonstrated ability through a combination of education, experience and training to perform the duties of the job.
Experience:
Two years experience in the security, gaming and/or law enforcement investigations. Previous experience with CCTV systems preferred.
Skills:
Proficient in the use Microsoft programs and other computer software. Must have ability to work independently and exercise discretionary judgment. Must be able to define problems by collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret a variety of information furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form. Must have ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, legal documents, intelligence information and governmental regulations. Must have the ability to write reports and business correspondence, and give effective presentations and responses to questions from managers, patrons, employees, and the general public. Must have moderate level math skills. Knowledge of gaming regulations, minimum internal control standards and operational procedures preferred. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, fractions, percentages and ratios to practical solutions. Ability to handle high impact situations. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department heads and employees. Skill in consistently applying policies and procedures. Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Skill in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions. Demonstrate ability or working knowledge of chain of evidence and custody standards. Demonstrated ability in analyzing information, knowledgeable of sources of information and the appropriate use and release of information; Demonstrate ability in conflict resolution. Demonstrates skills in multitasking between telephone calls and radio communications traffic, collecting information and logging pertinent information utilizing surveillance software in a fast-paced environment Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Other Requirements:
Obtain a Level 2 Kalispel Tribe of Indians Work Permit. Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
Physical Demands:
Requires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communications, and to make fine discrimination in sound. Requires constant manual dexterity, particularly with fingers. Requires frequent walking or moving about to accomplish tasks. Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time. Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally. Occasionally requires stooping which involves the use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes, and is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Travel Requirements:
Local travel is occasionally required. Travel outside of the state is infrequently required. Typical travel time is generally less than a week.
