CLASS SUMMARY NATURE OF WORK:Work on refuse/recycling routes which involves lifting, carrying, emptying and sorting of various materials (seasonal personnel are not allowed to drive refuse/recycling trucks)Clean, repair and set-up automated refuse and recycling carts. Load and unload materials in warehouse. Sweep and clean. Wash trucks, equipment and carts. Work on crews for community clean-ups and special events. HOURS OF WORK:Monday through Friday, 6:30 am 3:00 pm; and Saturdays following a major holiday 40 hours per week. This position typically runs from February through July, with the possibility of extension.
