divh2Laboratory Technician/h2pAmentum has an opening for a full-time Laboratory Technician role in Spokane, Washington in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) client. Our ideal candidate is experienced in chemical and physical laboratory testing, interpretation, and data analysis. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively, both independently and as a part of a team in a highly structured working environment, are qualities needed to succeed in this position. This posting allows for the initiation of a US Government Clearance./ppMain Responsibilities:/pulliConduct chemical and physical laboratory tests, interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present conclusions in a timely manner./liliAssist with processing biological samples to produce DNA profiles in support of organizational efforts./liliProvide laboratory subject matter expertise for Research Development / Test Evaluation efforts./liliData collection and entry for obtaining metrics and maintaining records./liliConduct laboratory tests for use in developing standard formulas for experimental procedures./liliEnsure compliance with laboratory chemical hygiene, bloodborne pathogen, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines / policies./liliProvide laboratory demonstrations of analytical capabilities and processes./liliTest all safety equipment on a periodic basis./liliPrepare reagents, wash dishes, clean laboratory spaces, and operate and maintain all laboratory equipment./liliEnsure that all chemicals and equipment are stored, serviced, and disposed of properly./liliPrepare and conduct in-service training events to ensure various staff are knowledgeable of current processes and procedures./li/ulpMinimum Requirements:/pulliMust be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance./liliBachelors degree or higher in chemistry, biology, forensics, or similar field from an accredited college or university/liliAt least 2 years of experience conducting laboratory testing and reporting./liliProfessional knowledge of and experience with laboratory safety, laboratory occupational hazards, and OSHA compliance./liliThe ability to utilize standardized scientific literature and develop effective written and oral reports that are clear, accurate and logical./liliThe ability to keep precise and detailed records for the preparation of technical reports./liliExperience using Microsoft applications (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)./li/ulpPreferred Skills and Experience:/pulliFive or more years of wet chemistry laboratory experience./liliExperience with Adobe Photoshop./liliPrior military or law enforcement experience is a plus./li/ulpOther Requirements:/pulliThis is a non-remote, full-time on-site position./liliSome shift work may be required to support urgent customer needs, including weekends and holidays./liliOccasional travel may be required (0-10%)./liliMust be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, working at a desk or in the laboratory./liliAbility to lift various sizes of materials and equipment (up to 50lbs)./li/ulpService Contract Act (SCA) Compensation Benefits: This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future./ppCompensation Benefits: HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $37.50/hr to $50/hr (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
