Your Role:

  • Maintain and update patient medical records, perform X-ray procedures including panoramic images and intraoral photos.
  • Record periodontal charting and prepare tools for Provider exams.
  • Mix exam materials, ensuring infection control protocols are followed, and carry out preventative care like fluoride treatments.
  • Monitor nitrous oxide analgesia under Provider supervision (Only in Washington).
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices in both clinic and school-based programs.
  • Support patient infection control initiatives by sterilizing instruments and equipment.
  • Assist in Orthodontics, including patient recordkeeping, bite registrations, and the fabrication of orthodontic retainers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Surgical Technologist Registration if assisting a Dentist in the operating room.
  • Dental Assistant Registration or EFDA certification is required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, at level 10.
  • Understanding of medical/dental terminology, dental anatomy, materials, and infection control practices.
  • Ability to perform four-handed dental assisting tasks such as instrument transfer and oral evacuation.
  • Strong manual dexterity, coordination, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse patient population.
  • Basic proficiency in Electronic Dental Records (EDR), Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
