Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
The Warehouse Inventory Clerk will be responsible for the distribution, receiving, unloading, stacking, and inventorying USDA commodities. Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and sanitary environment. Additional duties include assisting and fillingin for Certification Clerk as needed.

1. Receives, unloads, stacks, and inventories incoming shipments. Manually counts all inventory received.
2. Conducts inventory counts following daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
3. Responsible for all USDA required monthly inventory (152/101/Damaged/Temperature Chart) reports.
4. Maintains damaged product count on the appropriate form daily.
5. Order fresh produce weekly and maintain inventory for freshness.
6. Pre-weight and bag all fresh produce items before distribution to clients.
7. Cleans and maintains the commodity warehouse inside and outside following the daily, weekly, and monthly schedule.
8. Reports all warehouse repairs and maintenance needs to the manager.
9. Assist Certification and Warehouse Manager by issuing clients orders on AIS system as needed.
10. Assist clients with carrying and loading commodities into vehicles.
11. Assist with delivering monthly food orders to clients.
12. Assist with answering incoming calls, take messages, and forward to the appropriate personnel.
13. Willing to learn new skills when the opportunity is granted.
14. Treat recipients in a respectful non-judgmental manner.
15. Maintains strict confidentiality of all client services.
16. Other duties as assigned to promote the efficient and effective operation of the Food Distribution program.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
• Ability to work with the general public in a courteous and helpful manner
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook, Windows and AIS Inventory Management System.
• Physical strength and ability to repetitively lift carry and stack boxes and other bulky materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to contribute to a positive working environment.

Working Environment and Physical Demands
Typical work in a warehouse environment. Operation of a hyster required. Unloading truck loads of food, organizing and stacking inventory. Physical activities include bending, stooping, reaching, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Providing a confidential environment for recipients. Standing for extended periods of time. Generating reports on a monthly basis through AIS automated report system for submittal to USDA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED
• Basic typing and computer skills
• Appropriate foot protection and clothing suitable to warehouse conditions.
• Must posses a valid Driver's LicenseOperation of a Hyster (forklift) required.
• CPR / First Aid Certification (willing to obtain within six months)
• Hyster certification (willing to obtain within six months)
• Food Handlers Card (willing to obtain within six months)
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively.
• Must not have misdemeanor/felony offenses related to controlled substance of alcohol or drugs within the past ten years, or any misdemeanor or felony offenses related to abuse, neglect or endangerment of a child or elder.
• Must pass an extensive background check prior to employment and every 5th consecutive year of employment after that according to the following: §25 CFR 12 Part 32, §25 CFR 63 Part 17, and Public Law 101-647. Must not have any misdemeanor or felony offenses related to abuse, Domestic Violence, neglect, or endangerment.

Pay Range: $15 - $16 per hour
