GENERAL OVERVIEW:

As a Store Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining safety and security in our stores. Your presence at store entrances/exits and throughout the sales floor will help deter theft and create a safe environment for both associates and customers. You will engage with shoppers through friendly greetings while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to loss prevention.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure a Secure Environment:

  • Understand and prioritize safety in all actions, supporting store leadership in creating a secure space for all.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter theft through friendly and engaging interactions with customers.
  • Regularly inspect the store for potential safety hazards and ensure clear pathways to emergency exits.

Build Strong Teams:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and assisting with inquiries.
  • Show respect and appreciation for all customers and associates.
  • Actively communicate with internal and external partners to foster teamwork and share valuable insights.

Reduce Theft & Loss:

  • Monitor the store and engage with customers to identify suspicious behavior.
  • Work closely with store leadership to understand and respond to theft trends and enhance shortage reduction practices.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding theft response and ensure all practices align with best operational strategies.

Support Operational Efficiency:

  • Encourage and educate associates on effective procedures to minimize operational loss.
  • Ensure compliance with proper checkout protocols to prevent loss.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of retail supervisory experience and/or loss prevention training is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with team members.
  • Excellent customer service skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Must adhere to applicable federal and state regulations related to security roles.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Ability to spend a majority of the time standing and moving around the store.
  • Capable of lifting or moving objects over 25 lbs.
  • Ability to perform bending, stooping, or crouching as necessary.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

The base pay for this position ranges from $17.63 to $18.13, depending on various qualifications and experience levels. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan, and more for eligible full-time associates.
