Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Graciously and respectfully assist residents in the dining room to be seated and make menu selections.
• Initiate the serving of all entrees; to include cold and hot beverage service, salad, soup, hot entrees, dessert service and last beverage service.
• Clear tables throughout the meal.
• Reset all tables in the dining room after meal service ends.
• Assist with cleanup, such as washing and putting away dishes and utensils, vacuuming or sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, and watering plants.
• Assist with food preparation as required.
• Observe when food and dining room supplies are low and report to the Dining Services Director.
• Strictly follow all cleaning schedules, sanitation checklists, and guidelines related to hygiene and infection control.
• Follow all dining services policies and procedures, according to training manual.
• Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled by Executive Director.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident, community, employee, and company information.
• Maintain working knowledge of fire and disaster plans and responsibilities under emergency conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must satisfy all state health, licensure/certification, and background requirements.
Education/Experience: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Food service experience preferred, but not required.
Certificates and Licenses: Must have food handler's permit and complete any additional training or certification requirements mandated by the state of employment.
Communication Skills: Receive and carry out verbal or written instruction. Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, or via email with customers and co-workers.
