Your Day at Lowe's

In your role as a cashier, you will engage with customers, answer their questions, and assist with payments or exchanges, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Most of your time will be spent at the checkout register, but you may also assist in other areas such as stocking shelves or managing carts as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience.
• Assist customers proactively in the self-checkout area.
• Accurately scan and bag items efficiently.
• Handle cash register operations, including processing payments and exchanges.
• Address customer inquiries and provide assistance as required.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Capability to stand or sit for long periods.
• Experience using computer systems to input, access, and modify information.
• Physical ability to lift 10 lbs unassisted or over 15 lbs with assistance.
• Compliance with any required sales-related licensure or registration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Travel Requirements

This position does not involve regular travel; however, occasional travel to meetings, training sessions, or support for nearby stores may be necessary.

Working Conditions

Environmental factors can vary based on store location. You may work indoors and outdoors, experiencing different weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity. Be prepared for exposure to varied noise levels and moving equipment.

You will be trained in safe lifting methods to ensure you can handle the weight as per required guidelines.
