1st Shift Maintenance Technician

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with weekends off!

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and help ensure the smooth operation of our production and facility equipment!

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct repairs and maintenance on all production and facility equipment to guarantee machinery availability for daily operations.
• Review equipment reports from associates, document actions taken, and maintain a repair log in compliance with USF policy.
• Complete necessary documentation for equipment activities, including assembly and disassembly forms.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on equipment and maintain accurate PM logs as per USF policy.
• Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines while working on equipment, including Lock Out/Tag Out protocols.
• Maintain the battery-charging area and secure batteries and equipment within it.
• Manage tools, replacement parts, and maintenance equipment, ensuring proper storage and inventory control.
• May purchase tools and equipment from local vendors as authorized to support job duties.

Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree is a plus.
• A minimum of six months of previous mechanical experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of equipment repair and operation; ability to repair and overhaul warehouse & production equipment.
• Welding skills are an asset.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions clearly; basic math skills are essential.
• Must be capable of working independently with little oversight.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit occasionally, stand frequently, and walk frequently.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and carrying weights of 20 lbs frequently.
• Occasional pushing and pulling of equipment; climbing and balancing when necessary.
• Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching above shoulder height.

Compensation: The base rate for this position ranges from $22.00 to $23.00 per hour, with eligibility for overtime compensation.
