About this Role
The Shop Laborer at Crux Subsurface provides essential support for shop operations including equipment maintenance, repair, and cleaning. This role involves operating various shop equipment, transporting materials, and assisting mechanics with daily tasks.
Hourly: $22.00 - $25.00 DOE

What You'll Do
Transport vehicles, tools, and equipment to assigned destinations in a safe and timely manner
Provide shop support under the direction of shop mechanics
Perform routine service, maintenance, and repair to equipment including small engines, power tools, and rock drill tooling and components
Clean equipment using pressure washers and needle scalers on grout and other surfaces
Sweep, organize shop, maintain inventory levels of general shop supplies, and handle waste removal
Operate forklifts to move materials and equipment throughout the facility
Refuel equipment and perform light maintenance tasks
Conduct in-town driving for pick-up and delivery to vendors
Set up materials and equipment for jobs
Perform vehicle detailing, cleaning, and accessory installation
Perform welding as assigned and in accordance with training and certification
Understand various weld form symbols on blueprints and fillet form sizes
Appropriately use various metalworking equipment such as lathe, mill, drill press, and surface grinder
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety protocols and procedures
Meet agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner
Perform other shop duties as assigned by supervisor
What You'll Bring
Read dial calipers and indicators.
Required minimum of 1 year experience in a professional shop setting
Required basic mechanical background, hydraulic skills preferred
Required to provide own hand tools and toolbox (bottom cabinet type minimum). Required tools include sockets/wrenches from ΒΌ to 1-1/8, full screwdriver set, pliers etc. (typical professional mechanic tool set)
Required to provide own welding hood and steel toed boots.
Experience with blueprints
Ability to follow Crux outlined procedures and learn new processes.
Compensation Range
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $22.00/Hr. - USD $25.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
