Volt is immediately hiring for Data Governance Analysts in Spokane, WA
As a Data Governance Analyst you will:
- Guide the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
- Establish data stewardship programs and accountability structures
- Develop and monitor data quality metrics and remediation processes
- Advise leadership on how to ensure adherence with compliance and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve governance issues and promote adoption
- Support technical teams with governance controls, metadata management, and data lineage initiatives
- Deliver training and communication programs to drive governance awareness
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles
- Have served as data steward or data owner in previous roles
- Experience using dashboarding, visualization, and reporting tools
- Have implemented or maintained data quality monitoring program for an organization or department
- Knowledgeable of cloud platforms and how they are used for modern data platforms (e.g. AWS, Databricks)
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices
- Experience with data cataloging tools (Alation, Atlan, Databricks Unity Catalog)
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g, CCPA)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Microsoft Purview, BigID)
- Experience in regulated industries (Investor-owned utilities, financial services, healthcare)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and AI/ML governance considerations
- Certifications (DAMA CDMP, PMP, Agile/Scrum)
- Foundational Cloud platform certifications (e.g. AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals AZ-900)
- Prior experience with Power BI Service, MS Fabric, SAP Analytics Cloud
