Volt is immediately hiring for Data Governance Analysts in Spokane, WA

As a Data Governance Analyst you will:

  • Guide the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
  • Establish data stewardship programs and accountability structures
  • Develop and monitor data quality metrics and remediation processes
  • Advise leadership on how to ensure adherence with compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve governance issues and promote adoption
  • Support technical teams with governance controls, metadata management, and data lineage initiatives
  • Deliver training and communication programs to drive governance awareness
This is a full time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles
  • Have served as data steward or data owner in previous roles
  • Experience using dashboarding, visualization, and reporting tools
  • Have implemented or maintained data quality monitoring program for an organization or department
  • Knowledgeable of cloud platforms and how they are used for modern data platforms (e.g. AWS, Databricks)
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices
  • Experience with data cataloging tools (Alation, Atlan, Databricks Unity Catalog)
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g, CCPA)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Microsoft Purview, BigID)
  • Experience in regulated industries (Investor-owned utilities, financial services, healthcare)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and AI/ML governance considerations
  • Certifications (DAMA CDMP, PMP, Agile/Scrum)
  • Foundational Cloud platform certifications (e.g. AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals AZ-900)
  • Prior experience with Power BI Service, MS Fabric, SAP Analytics Cloud


Pay Rate: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
