Your Role as a Dental Hygienist: In this role, your primary responsibilities will include conducting initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth to remove plaque, and providing valuable advice on oral health and preventative care. You'll collaborate with dentists in determining treatment options for various dental conditions.

As a successful Dental Hygienist, you will:

1. Ensure that patients feel comfortable prior to their examinations
2. Properly sterilize dental instruments
3. Conduct thorough mouth screenings and review oral health histories
4. Identify issues such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
5. Clean and protect patients' teeth through procedures like plaque removal and fluoride application
6. Educate patients of all ages on proper dental care techniques, such as effective brushing
7. Provide post-procedure instructions to patients
8. Take X-rays and dental impressions
9. Assist dentists in selecting suitable treatments for various conditions, including oral cancer
10. Maintain accurate documentation and patient charts
11. Monitor and manage dental supplies

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role
• Dental Hygiene license is required
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations within the profession (e.g., HIPAA)
• Experience with preparing and maintaining dental equipment
• Excellent communication skills
• A patient and friendly demeanor
• Strong attention to detail
• Physical stamina to meet job demands
• Diploma in Dental Hygiene is preferred
