Minimum qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
  • Hold a valid Pharmacy Intern license from a state.
  • Promote a respectful and trusting environment among associates.
  • Create an atmosphere where customers feel welcomed and valued by responding to inquiries about products.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of pharmaceutical products to discuss competently with customers and prescribers.
  • Provide drug counseling and recommend over-the-counter medications.
  • Accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
  • Dispense the correct medications and contact prescribers for authorization when needed.
  • Bag filled prescriptions accurately and deliver them to customers.
  • Process insurance information and contact companies on behalf of customers as necessary.
  • Foster customer transactions efficiently.
  • Accept and correctly interpret prescriptions for fill/refill.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the department.
  • Administer immunizations under pharmacist supervision.
  • Compare, check, and stock incoming orders properly.
  • Return unused medication stock as needed.
  • Notify management about accidents involving customers or employees.
  • Report safety risks, prescription incidents, or any illegal activity.
  • Must have the ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
