Data Analyst Intern

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Analyst Intern in Spokane Valley, WA. The ideal candidate will be able to work part-time during the academic year and full-time during the summer. As a Data Analysis Intern, a typical day might include the following:

• Reviewing data and creating charts, dashboards, and reports as assigned.
• Developing ways to avoid and deter data inconsistencies at the source in addition to review, validate, research, clean and transform those inconsistencies.
• Supporting analysts to improve current reports and data sources.

This job might be for you if you:

• Are a current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Math, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a relative field of study.
• Are proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access.
• Have strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills.
• Have strong attention to detail.
• Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Are able to learn and communicate technical/scientific information.
• Are able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment.
• Are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Have background check results satisfactory to SEL and negative drug test result(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Python, SQL or other analytic languages.
• Experience with reporting software, such as Power BI.

Location Information: Spokane Valley, WA
