Description:

Overview: Join a dynamic healthcare team providing compassionate and comprehensive direct and indirect patient care in an acute care environment. This role demands initiative, adaptability, and professional responsibility with minimal supervision. You will expertly triage patients,prioritize care based on physical and psychosocial needs, and communicate effectively with primary care providers regarding patient status and diagnostic results. Flexibility to float to emergency, obstetrics, and other departments is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and collaborate with specialists to optimize nursing care plans.
  • Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments and reassessments across all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Assess and manage pain effectively, educating patients and families on pain control strategies.
  • Maintain a safe care environment that minimizes medical errors and promotes quality and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac monitoring, identify dysrhythmias, and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Accurately assign triage categories and maintain detailed nursing documentation including patient histories, treatments, and condition changes.
Education and Certifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse license valid in the practicing region.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within one year of hire.
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within one year of hire.
Experience:
  • Preferred minimum of two years hospital nursing experience.
Professional Expectations:
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and complete assigned duties within designated timelines.
  • Exhibit respectful, courteous, and effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.
