Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate, patient-oriented Triage Coordinator (CMA) to join our Axis Spine team! Under the supervision of the medical provider and clinic leader, you will primarily be doing phone triage in this position. Duties will include answer live phone calls from patients and medically assess the patient's needs, make clinical decisions as to whether the patient needs to be seen or sent to the Emergency Department to assess, knowledge of provider's schedules and preferences with acute patient scheduling, and create proper triage documentation in patient's chart. Other duties that the Triage Coordinator may assist with are rooming patients, record vital signs, administer injections, perform urinalysis, EKG testing, set up and clean up procedure rooms for in office procedures, properly discard all biohazard and sharps waste, and stock supplies.
