Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Client's team as a Team Lead - Membership & Enrollment. This position is crucial for driving enterprise modernization initiatives within a healthcare payer environment. As the Team Lead - Membership & Enrollment, you will oversee a team of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) and act as a hands-on Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting the transformation of legacy membership systems into modernized enrollment platforms.

This role blends leadership, strategy, and execution. The ideal candidate will have deep healthcare payer expertise across Membership, Enrollment, and Billing, along with proven experience in leading modernization or migration efforts. Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and mentorship to a team of Business Systems Analysts, including workload management, coaching, and performance support.
• Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and facilitate cross-functional solution discussions.
• Serve as subject matter expert and solution decision-maker for Membership, Enrollment, and Billing functions.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning, budget alignment, and roadmap execution.
• Guide modernization efforts transitioning from legacy systems to contemporary enrollment platforms.
• Evaluate technical and business solution options and provide recommendations based on healthcare payer best practices.
• Ensure collaboration across business stakeholders, technical teams, and data engineering partners.
• Remain hands-on in requirements gathering, solution design, and issue resolution as the Team Lead - Membership & Enrollment.

• 8 years of healthcare payer experience with strong expertise in Membership & Enrollment, Billing operations, and Member lifecycle management.
• Proven leadership experience managing direct reports or leading BSA teams as a Team Lead - Membership & Enrollment.
• Experience leading JAD sessions and driving stakeholder consensus.
• Experience supporting legacy mainframe environments and modernization initiatives.
• Strong decision-making capability and executive communication skills.
• Ability to write and validate SQL queries for data analysis.
• Experience working with third-party vendor teams.

• Exposure to legacy healthcare enrollment systems (e.g., mainframe-based membership platforms).
• Experience with enterprise enrollment modernization platforms such as Nasco or similar solutions.
• Familiarity with data integration tools such as Informatica.

• Experience modernizing membership systems within a national or regional healthcare payer organization.
• PMP certification or equivalent project leadership training.
• Background as a Senior Business Systems Analyst prior to leadership.
• Prior mainframe-to-platform migration experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale application modernization programs.
