Overview
The Negotiations Team Lead will support the Negotiations leadership team in ensuring negotiators meet and exceed business expectations while supporting the company's mission and service standards. This role serves as a primary resource for negotiators on creditor-related matters, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to resolve complex situations and drive successful account settlements.
This role also acts as a liaison between leadership and team members by communicating updates, sharing performance insights, and escalating concerns when necessary. By leading by example and fostering a collaborative, performance-driven environment, the Team Lead helps align individual performance with departmental and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Act as the primary source for questions asked by Negotiators regarding creditor related issues and assisting when needed. Act as a mentor to respective team members.
- Liaise between management and team members regarding; concerns, issues, any elevated situations, findings, and goal setting.
- Communicate findings, data, and policies provided by management to negotiators.
- Conduct goal setting meetings with each team member and provide performance.
- Motivate the team by conducting weekly meetings and following through with negotiators and team goals.
- Work to align individual goals company goals.
- Provide feedback and relay department concerns to upper management.
- Liaise between management and team members to assess performance and issue team member evaluations.
- Settle client accounts
Qualifications Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 4 years' customer service or relationship-based support role experience required, or 2 years' internal Negotiations experience with hands-on leadership exposure.
- Financial or banking organization experience preferred.
- No PIPs or COEs in the last 6 months for internal candidates.
- Proven track record of assisting others and meeting goals.
- The employee will be exposed to a fast-paced environment and is expected to be able to adjust accordingly.

Compensation Information Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for each position across the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This good faith pay range is provided in compliance with NYC law and the laws of other jurisdictions that may require a salary range in job postings. The salary for this position is $24.25 to $28.00 per hour.
