Loader

Join our team as a Loader where you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks with landscaping products such as tube sand, cement mix, and hardscapes. You will assist will-call customers and help out in the plant during the winter months when work in the yard slows. The role requires quick processing in a fast-paced environment, with the expectation to load trucks in 15-25 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload approximately 70-80 trucks daily.
• Operate sit-down forklifts with enclosed cabs capable of lifting up to 12,000 lbs, handling two pallets at a time.
• Perform manual labor tasks outside of operating the forklift.
• Assist with plant operations during less busy winter months (November-February).

Essential Skills

• Experience with forklifts, particularly those capable of 12,000 lb lifts.
• Experience with scan guns and previous warehouse experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, lifting up to 80 lbs and frequently lifting 50-70 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is a plus, offering potential for advancement to operator roles.
• Comfort with repetitive and monotonous tasks in a non-glamorous work setting.

Work Environment

Work in a global supplier setting of building and landscaping products, including hardscapes and masonry. The small shop environment, with 4-5 employees, can be cold in winter and hot in summer, and is part of a pre-mix concrete plant, which can get messy and dusty.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
