Company Summary

We are in search of a candidate to join our team that has Commercial Construction Estimating Experience in Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, and ACT. We conduct work in the Northwest and Pacific Regions (Idaho, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon & Montana) on Federal, State, and Private Commercial Projects.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to our Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Area.

Position Summary

Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on small to large-complex projects and all type of contracts.

Outline of Essential Job Responsibilities/Functions to include but not limited to:

Evaluate and incorporate historical data from subcontracts, purchase orders, productivity analysis reports, etc., into unit and man hour figures.

• Evaluate project/proposal specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc., to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Provide complete conceptual and/or hard bid estimates on assigned projects. Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work.
• Examine estimates of materials, equipment and production costs, performance requirements and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate calculations.
• Assist in preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.
• Continual review and recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
• Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.
• Work well in a strong team environment.
• Perform other assignments as directed.

Education and/or Experience

10 years minimum experience in Commercial Estimating. Experience should be in Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, and ACT. An individual with field experience would be a plus.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with an Estimating Software such as The Edge (preferred) or OST and Quick Bid, extensive math skills along with Microsoft Office Software.

Salary: $75-$90K
