Are you the type of Product Manager who measures last year not by what you planned, but you measure it by what shipped, what moved, and what the numbers looked like before and after you touched it?
The things that excite you are not the things that excite most people. A dataset nobody has monetized yet. A feature that could cut churn by six points. A workflow that users are doing manually because nobody has automated it. You see those problems and your instinct is to get closer, not to schedule a discovery workshop.
You've built things. Not slides about things. Not roadmaps of things. Things that are live, that users have touched, and that moved a metric you can quote from memory without checking a dashboard.
The Opportunity
A PE-backed SaaS marketplace operating in a large, fragmented industry has grown ARR by over 400% in three years and is accelerating. The business connects buyers and sellers at scale across a two-sided platform used by hundreds of thousands of professionals. It works. The question now is how much further and how fast.
This role owns the data product layer. That means finding, acquiring, and building data assets that competitors cannot replicate and that make the platform meaningfully stickier with every passing quarter. It is a high-visibility mandate with direct exposure to senior leadership and a team already in place. You are not starting from scratch. You are taking something that exists and making it genuinely hard to beat.
What We Are Looking For
Focused on building and scaling a data-driven product ecosystem, leveraging both internal (bids, engagement) and external data sources (profiles, projects, permits) to strengthen the company's long-term competitive advantage.
Six to twelve years of product management inside SaaS or marketplace businesses. Not twenty-plus. Still hungry.
You have shipped data or analytics features into a live customer-facing product and you can describe exactly what happened to activation, adoption, or retention as a result. You understand how data creates competitive moats, not as a concept but as something you have actually tried to build.
You make decisions with incomplete information and move. You treat metrics like a scoreboard. You are uncomfortable when nothing has shipped in thirty days, not because someone told you to be, but because that is how you are wired.
You understand unit economics, what drives LTV, and why network effects matter in a two-sided business. You do not need these explained to you.
What This Is Not
This is not a role for someone who needs six weeks of alignment before running a test. It is not for someone whose best recent work lives in a presentation deck. If the words 'stakeholder management' are the centrepiece of how you describe your job, this is not the right conversation.
Compensation and Logistics
If this sounds like the way you think, reach out or apply with a short note on what you have shipped recently and why you might be interested. xywuqvp
